Welcome

Introducing our employment program where Finders Keepers specialised staff engage in a Personalised Career Identification and Planning Process to assist participants in discovering and engaging in individualised employment and vocational paths suited to meet the needs of the person with disability.

Employment Services

What Is involved?

 Finders Keepers will join you on a journey to:

  • explore what work means for you (discovery)
  • build essential foundation skills for work with tailored skills training
  • manage complex barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment by working with prospective employers and other stakeholders;
  • employment customisation;
  • offer supports to explore and transition from a supported employment environment to open employment where applicable;
  • develop a custom career development plan
  • utilise other capacity building supports that are likely to lead to successful engagement in a vocational or employment pathway

 At Finders Keepers WA, we help people discover, prepare for, and maintain meaningful employment that suits their goals and abilities. We believe everyone has unique strengths to bring to the workforce, and our job is to help uncover them.

Our employment supports include:

  • Employment Discovery & Pathway Planning – Exploring skills, interests, and ideal work environments.
  • Workplace Readiness – Building confidence through interview prep, resume writing, and workplace communication.
  • Work Experience & Volunteering – Hands-on experiences to build skills and see what works best.
  • On-the-Job Support – Mentoring and coaching to ensure ongoing success once employment starts.
  • Micro-Enterprise & Self-Employment – Supporting those with business ideas to start their own small ventures.

Study & Education Assistance

We also provide support for participants who are studying or preparing to return to education. Our team helps build confidence, independence, and study routines so participants can reach their learning goals.

Our education supports include:

  • Study Planning & Organisation – Setting up study schedules, managing workload, and building healthy habits.
  • Tutoring & Coursework Support – Assistance with communication with lecturers or connecting services to assist in improving literacy and computer skills.
  • Access & Travel Support – Helping participants attend classes and navigate campuses safely.
  • Transition Support – Guidance through enrolments, orientation, and connecting with training providers.

Our goal is to make education and training accessible, enjoyable, and achievable for everyone.

For the discovery process to be impactful

It is recommended that between 150 – 250 hours of Employment Support or alternative funding is included in a participants NDIS plan depending on the needs and capacity of the individual.

  • Match an individual’s unique interests and motivations that would enable an individual to initially

gain meaningful employment to assist in capacity building.

enable an individual to gain customised work Now or into the future.

Ongoing support with job creation, establishment and continuation will differ for each participant.
